About Carmelle Beliard

Carmelle is a first-generation Haitian American therapist and social worker dedicated to decolonizing mental health and redefining the first-gen experience. Licensed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, and Texas, she supports individuals navigating identity, trauma, and systemic oppression.

A seasoned clinician and doctoral student at Simmons University, she founded Voices Forward Collective to create culturally grounded spaces that reflect the realities of first-gen professionals. Her work bridges clinical care, equity consulting, and grassroots programming, always rooted in storytelling, resilience, and lived experience.

Carmelle leads with heart, authenticity, and strategy. Her approach is consistent: welcoming, empowering, and committed to real change.

Our Mission

To amplify the voices of marginalized communities by offering culturally responsive therapy, equity-centered consulting, and community-based programming.

Our Vision

A world where lived experience is recognized and every voice has the tools, support, and systems it needs to thrive.

Who we are

Voices Forward Collective is a purpose-driven practice rooted in lived experience and a deep commitment to community. We exist to center the voices of first-generation individuals, BIPOC professionals, and historically excluded communities through therapy, consulting, and impact work.

We are therapists, equity strategists, and advocates who believe healing and leadership should reflect the people they serve. Our work is grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strengths-based practices. We create space for growth and belonging while challenging systems that silence or overlook marginalized voices.

At Voices Forward Collective, we don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions. We listen and build relationships with care, because your voice deserves more than inclusion. It deserves to lead.
